Recipe Guide

What ingredients give the cookies their buttery texture?

Unsalted butter combined with granulated sugar creates a light, fluffy dough that bakes into a tender, buttery cookie.

How can I achieve crispier cookies?

Bake the cookies 1 to 2 minutes longer until the edges turn a deeper golden brown to enhance crispness.

Are there flavor variations suggested for the dough?

Adding lemon or orange zest to the dough introduces a fresh citrus note that complements the sweetness.

What decorating options enhance the cookies’ appearance?

A smooth glaze made from powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla can be spread atop the cooled cookies, then sprinkled with edible glitter or colored sanding sugar for sparkle.

How should the cookies be stored to maintain freshness?

Store in an airtight container at room temperature to keep them fresh for up to one week.

Can these cookies be made nut-free?

Simply omit the optional almond extract to keep the dough free from tree nuts.
