I first tried adding tahini to iced coffee on a hot afternoon, inspired by its versatility in both sweet and savory dishes. Its nutty richness made my usual cold brew much more satisfying.

Ingredients

  • Coffee: 1 ½ cups (360 ml) cold brew coffee or strong chilled coffee
  • Tahini Blend: 3 tablespoons tahini (well-stirred), 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (to taste), ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract, pinch of sea salt
  • Milk & Ice: ½ cup (120 ml) plant-based milk (e.g., almond, oat, or soy), 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

Make Tahini Blend:
Whisk tahini, maple syrup (or honey), vanilla extract, and sea salt in a small bowl or pitcher until smooth and fully combined.
Prepare Glasses:
Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes.
Pour Coffee:
Divide the cold brew coffee evenly between the glasses.
Add Tahini Blend:
Add the tahini mixture to each glass and stir well to combine.
Top and Serve:
Top with plant-based milk and gently stir for a creamy finish. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired. Serve immediately.

Method
