02 - 1/2 cup hot water (about 176°F)

04 - 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
05 - Ice cubes, as needed

→ Vanilla Cold Foam

06 - 1/2 cup cold heavy cream
07 - 1/2 cup cold milk or dairy-free creamer
08 - 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup

# Method:

01 - Sift the matcha into a small bowl, add 1/2 cup hot water (≈176°F), and whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk or small metal whisk until fully dissolved and lightly frothy.
02 - If desired, stir 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup into the warm matcha, tasting and adjusting to preference.
03 - Fill two tall glasses with ice. Divide 1 cup cold milk evenly between the glasses.
04 - Slowly pour the prepared matcha over the milk in each glass to create a layered appearance.
05 - Combine 1/2 cup cold heavy cream, 1/2 cup cold milk (or dairy-free creamer), and 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup in a chilled bowl or frother. Froth with an electric frother or whisk vigorously until thick, pillowy, and approximately doubled in volume.
